The delegation included Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, and Abdukerim Arshamov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. The choice of the site was deliberate: the 300 MW Karabatan Utility Solutions power plant is a key element of the western region’s power system, supplying residents of the “NINT” SEZ and transmitting surplus electricity to the Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, and Mangystau regions.
CCGT Turkistan specialists focused on KUS’s experience in integrating equipment from multiple global manufacturers. The plant operates a complex configuration combining Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines, General Electric heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and steam turbine systems. This multi-component facility is managed through a unified control system based on EMERSON solutions.
The parties also discussed service model specifics. KUS’s experience shows that working with industry leaders such as Siemens requires long-term maintenance planning and service scheduling, as the manufacturer maintains strict control over critical maintenance operations. This is a key consideration for shaping CCGT Turkistan’s own service strategy.
The visit continued a series of best-practice exchanges. For CCGT Turkistan, KUS’s approach to documentation control and asset recognition on the balance sheet is of particular value. The experience gained will be integrated into CCGT Turkistan’s business processes, enabling the company to strengthen contractor requirements and improve the operational efficiency of its future facilities.
