CCGT Turkistan LLP and KEGOC Discussed Preparations for the Plant's First Power Output Delivery

Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, met with a delegation from the Southern Intersystem Electric Networks branch of KEGOC JSC, led by Branch Director Yerlan Shalbayev, at the plant's construction site. The parties discussed preparations for the delivery of the first power output of CCGT Turkistan into the national power grid. The primary objective of the meeting was to synchronize work schedules among the power plant, external power grids, and the system operator. During the visit, KEGOC representatives, alongside the management and engineers of CCGT Turkistan LLP, inspected the automated control centers, the 500 kV and 220 kV outdoor switchgears (OSG), and the installed power transformers. These facilities are directly linked to the plant's future power delivery. "For our part, we will provide maximum support for the timely connection of the facility. The purpose of this visit is to assess the feasibility of connecting the first power output," noted Yerlan Shalbayev, Director of the Southern Intersystem Electric Networks branch of KEGOC JSC. To facilitate the project's power delivery, 500 kV and 220 kV external power grids with a total length of 111 km 595 m are currently under construction. Key sections include the Zhambyl–Shymkent, Shymkent–Kyzylsai, Shymkent–Sastobe, and Shymkent–Bozaryk overhead lines (OHL). Following the meeting, Ulan Burkitov, together with engineers from CCGT Turkistan LLP and representatives of the general contractor Elektromontazh JSC (ELMO), inspected the construction progress of the external power transmission lines. The site visit participants reviewed the installation of transmission towers and the current momentum of work along the OHL route. As of today, 34 transmission towers have been installed on the 220 kV Shymkent–Bozaryk OHL section, 21 of which were erected within the last two weeks. The readiness of the external networks remains one of the critical prerequisites for connecting the plant to the power grid and delivering its first power output.
