CCGT Turkistan LLP became a participant of SEZ «TURAN»

On September 3, 2025, CCGT Turkistan LLP officially became a participant of the Special Economic Zone «TURAN».

The Agreement was signed between JSC «Management Company of SEZ TURAN», represented by Acting Chairman of the Board Mr. Zhasulan Nurlanovich Tulebekov, and CCGT Turkistan LLP, represented by Deputy Chairman of the Board for Support and Security Mr. Kazibek Satubaiuly Abdrakhmanov.

The signing of the Agreement marks an important milestone in the implementation of the 1000 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant project. Currently, the facility is under construction: infrastructure development is ongoing, and equipment is being delivered in batches and stored on-site until installation works commence.

Established in 2018, SEZ «TURAN» covers around 4,000 hectares, including the historical center, administrative and business cluster, airport, and industrial zones. Today, more than 120 projects in construction, logistics, industry, education, and culture are being implemented within the SEZ, forming the foundation of the region’s socio-economic growth.

Participation of CCGT Turkistan LLP provides favorable conditions for effective project implementation. These include accelerated delivery of equipment and materials, access to modern infrastructure and logistics support, tax and customs incentives, optimization of project costs, and reduction of expenses. In addition, it opens opportunities for attracting investment, developing partnerships, creating new jobs, and emphasizes the project’s significance at the national level.

The Agreement reflects the company’s initiative and strategic approach to consistently fulfilling its objectives in the energy sector. Implementation of the 1000 MW CCGT project will strengthen Kazakhstan’s energy system and contribute to the economic development of the Turkistan region.
