CCGT Turkistan LLP: Plan vs. Actual Review of the Critical Path and Power Export Cable Routes

Readiness of key systems directly impacting construction and installation pace and adherence to the critical path were the main focus of the field meeting chaired by Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP. The working discussion was attended by representatives of the general contractor consortium - Doosan Enerbility and Integra Construction KZ. In a plan-versus-actual format, the participants verified completion of weekly tasks, уточнили the critical-path scope, and agreed on the sequence of the nearest upcoming technological tie-ins.

As a priority, the participants clarified the construction status of the administrative and amenity complex and inspected the underground gallery. During the site walkdown, they also assessed progress at the open switchyard (OSG) area. A dedicated foundation pad for the autotransformer is currently being prepared, aligned with the power export scheme and the nearest upcoming technological tie-ins. The autotransformer is one of the key elements of the power export system, enabling transformation of electrical parameters and transmission to the grid via the OSG equipment and overhead transmission lines.

Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, emphasized the importance of schedule discipline and close team coordination: “We all, as one team, must stay focused on commissioning the first gas turbine by the end of 2026 and then ensure the phased start-up of the remaining power equipment. It is important not to keep issues silent, but to bring them to joint discussion so we can find solutions quickly and implement them immediately in our work.”

The meeting also covered the installation of on-site utility networks. Key focus areas included the cable routes from generators to the OSG, the organization and timelines for low-current systems, the overhead transmission line construction schedule, as well as the current status of works on water treatment and diesel facilities.
