CCGT Turkistan LLP reviewed preparations for connecting the 500 kV overhead line to the existing power system

Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, together with company engineers and representatives of Elektromontazh JSC, inspected the technological connection section of the 500 kV overhead line to the existing Shymkent - Zhambyl line.

This section is of strategic importance: the line is part of the interstate energy network linking the power systems of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, preparation for the connection requires precise calculations, strict coordination, and compliance with technical requirements.

At present, the readiness of works on the 500 kV Zhambyl - Shymkent overhead line stands at 92%. All 37 intermediate towers and 19 out of 21 anchor towers have been installed. In addition, 143.732 km of conductor out of the planned 153.8 km has been strung.

The general contractor for the construction of the external networks is Elektromontazh JSC (ELMO). During the site visit, the participants reviewed the readiness of the section, the sequence of works, and issues related to mobilizing personnel and equipment for the final stage.

The 500/220 kV external electrical networks are required for the future export of CCGT Turkistan’s capacity to the power system. The readiness of this area directly affects the synchronization of the plant construction with external power infrastructure facilities.
