Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction visited the power plant construction site

Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, Maulen Aimanbetov, visited the construction site of CCGT Turkistan LLP in the Sairam district of Turkistan region, where he reviewed the progress of the power plant construction. This project is being implemented under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and is part of the Power Industry Development Program until 2035.

Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, Kuanysh Bektemirov, briefed the management of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC on the current implementation stages, construction and installation works, delivery of technological equipment, as well as the preparation of engineering networks. During discussions with representatives of Doosan Enerbility, the project’s general contractor and key partner responsible for the supply and installation of main technological equipment, the parties addressed logistics of equipment, synchronization of construction and installation processes, as well as quality control and compliance with international standards.

The combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant will operate in a combined cycle, integrating the latest-generation gas turbines and steam turbines that utilize exhaust heat for additional electricity generation. This approach will ensure high efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize environmental impact.

The Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC emphasized that the project has strategic importance for the energy security of southern Kazakhstan and aims to ensure stable electricity supply to the region. Maulen Aimanbetov highlighted the importance of adhering to schedules, timely completion of engineering works, coordination with partners, and maintaining high quality at every stage.

It should be noted that CCGT Turkistan LLP is under trust management of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC by decision of the sole shareholder.
