Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, together with representatives of the general contractor consortium – Integra Construction KZ and Doosan Enerbility – conducted a site meeting and inspected the construction площадка of the 1,000 MW power plant.
The key objective of the visit was to verify weekly commitments in a “plan–actual” format and to control critical-path activities (works that directly determine the overall project schedule). During the inspection, the participants visited the key critical-path facilities that directly affect the commissioning timeline and compared the actual volume of construction and installation works with the approved schedule. Particular attention was paid to the open switchgear (OSG): four transformers have already been installed.
Works are underway to install portals and further develop the power evacuation scheme. The delegation also inspected the main building and other production areas. Following the inspection, the meeting compared previously approved decisions with their actual implementation on site.
Priorities for the next week were clarified, the sequence of технологических interfaces was fixed, and the actions of contractor organizations were synchronized. Summing up, Ulan Burkitov emphasized the need to maintain the construction pace and strictly adhere to the schedule: “The project is being implemented in Sairam District of the Turkistan Region – one of the key industrial centers of the area. Reliable power supply here is essential for the growth of industry, small and medium-sized businesses, and the agricultural sector. Our task is to maintain the pace of work and commission capacity within the установленный timeframe, contributing to the reduction of electricity deficit in the Turkistan Region and Shymkent.”
The 1,000 MW CCGT power plant construction project is being implemented to strengthen the energy security of the Turkistan Region and the city of Shymkent. Regular site inspections and the “plan–actual” format enable prompt identification of deviations and timely management decisions.
