Installation of the fourth heat recovery steam generator begins in the main building of CCGT Turkistan

On 2 June 2026, installation of the fourth and final heat recovery steam generator began at the CCGT Turkistan construction site. The works are being carried out in the plant’s main building, where the key generating equipment is located. The progress of the works was reviewed by Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, together with representatives of the general contractor consortium - Doosan Enerbility and Integra Construction KZ - as part of a regular production meeting.

At the site, installation of the supporting steel structures of the heat recovery steam generator has already been completed: load-bearing columns, beams, bracings, and frame elements have been installed. The structure has been positioned in its design location according to axes and elevation marks. This makes it possible to proceed to the next stage - installation of heat exchanger modules and associated equipment.

Installation of the diffuser of Gas Turbine No. 2 also continues in the main building. Ulan Burkitov inspected the tie-in process between the gas turbine, the connecting unit, and the diffuser. After installation is completed, specialists will begin welding works to join these elements.

In parallel, installation of the bypass stack of the first heat recovery steam generator is underway in the same area. Four out of five segments have been installed in their design position, and welding works on the full circumferential seam are continuing. In addition, the walkdown participants reviewed the progress of concrete works on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Unit 1 electrical switchgear building.

Following the walkdown, Ulan Burkitov instructed the teams to strengthen the night shift in selected areas and increase the number of specialists involved in welding works.
