Installation of the gas turbine air intake system began at CCGT Turkistan

Installation of the air intake system for the gas turbine of Unit 1 has begun at the construction site of CCGT Turkistan LLP. This unit is part of the gas turbine installation and represents one of the important stages in preparing the equipment for first power export to the grid.

The air intake system ensures the intake of atmospheric airflow, its filtration, and delivery to the compressor. It reduces intake noise and protects the unit from dust, precipitation, debris, icing, and other external factors.

The progress of installation was checked during a production inspection led by Kuat Zhylkybayev, Director of the Construction Control Department of CCGT Turkistan LLP. The inspection was attended by representatives of Doosan Enerbility, Integra Construction KZ LLP, design and technical supervision companies, design institutes, as well as relevant specialists of CCGT Turkistan LLP.

The participants inspected the main building, electrical switchgear rooms, the heat recovery steam generator installation area, pumping stations, and firefighting points. At Unit 1, they checked the preparation of two levels of the electrical switchgear building, structural reinforcement, and the application of fireproof coating to steel structures.

In the main building, the connection of all four gas turbines with the heat recovery steam generators continues. These works are being carried out under the supervision of Siemens Energy representatives.

At the end of the inspection, the 220/500 kV open switchgear area was also reviewed. Specialists checked the works completed since the previous visit to this facility and verified the implementation of instructions recorded in the protocols.

Following the inspection, relevant specialists were instructed to coordinate the schedules of construction and installation works at the areas affecting the readiness of Unit 1.
