Specialists from KEGOC JSC visited the construction site of the 1,000 MW CCGT Turkistan power plant to assess the readiness of electrical equipment for commissioning and the delivery of power to Kazakhstan's Unified Power System.
The site inspection was led by Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, and attended by Yerlan Shalbayev, Director of KEGOC JSC's Southern Inter-System Electric Networks Branch, technical specialists, and representatives of the general contractors, Doosan Enerbility and Integra Construction KZ.
The participants inspected the electrical room of Power Unit No. 1, the Operational Control Point (OPU), the 500 kV and 220 kV outdoor switchyards, the main building, the gas turbine hall, and the power transformers. At the OPU, voltage has already been supplied to the battery banks, DC power distribution panels (ShchPT), and auxiliary power supply panels (ShchSN).
Following the visit, KEGOC specialists provided recommendations on the sequence of commissioning activities and the timeline for connecting the power plant to the high-voltage transmission grid. Preparations remain under continuous supervision.
