Leadership of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC Pays Working Visit to CCGT Turkistan LLP

Gabidulla Abdrakhimov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operations at Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, and Aman Asanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Asset Management and Digitalization at Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, paid a working visit to CCGT Turkistan LLP.

The key objective of the visit was to assess the construction pace of the 1,000 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant and to monitor adherence to the implementation schedule of this strategically important facility for Kazakhstan's energy system.

Following a meeting at the company's office, the leadership of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC and CCGT Turkistan LLP, representatives of the general contractor - a consortium comprising Doosan Enerbility (South Korea) and Integra Construction KZ (Kazakhstan), and the Akim of the Sairam district of the Turkistan region visited the construction site.

The delegation inspected the 60-hectare territory. Representatives of the general contractor reported on the current construction and installation works, as well as the start of the installation of the main CCGT equipment. During the visit of the Samruk-Kazyna Construction leadership, the installation of a gas turbine generator using a heavy-duty crane was underway in the Main Building. 

Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, reported on the intermediate results. The project has entered the active phase of installing the main technological equipment: 

• Three gas turbines and control system elements have already been installed in the Main Building; 

• More than 80% of the equipment has been delivered to the site, including power units: 4 gas turbines, 2 steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and generators.

The leadership of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC emphasized that the project is under special control and is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State. The timely commissioning of the plant is critically important for strengthening Kazakhstan's status as an energy power.
