Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna Construction” Maulen Aimanbetov visited the construction site of Turkistan CCGT LLP and held a meeting with all parties involved in the project. Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of Turkistan CCGT LLP, reported on the progress of construction of the 1000 MW power plant, key stages, and current tasks.
During the meeting, Maulen Aimanbetov emphasized that the project is being implemented for the people of Kazakhstan, and therefore every participant bears a high level of responsibility for the result.
“The entire process related to commissioning works must be clearly structured, have specific deadlines, and be carried out in accordance with the work schedule. This project is being built for the people. If problems arise, they must be resolved constructively. All parties must be interested in the successful completion of the project and demonstrate responsibility for the result,” Maulen Aimanbetov emphasized.
The head of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna Construction” expressed concern over the current pace of work, delays from the work schedule on specific project sections, as well as insufficient mobilization of workers at the construction site. The inadmissibility of missing the project’s directive deadlines was emphasized separately.
Special attention was paid to cable works. This is one of the largest and most labor-intensive fronts: cable routes connect the plant’s power units, control systems, protection systems, and automation.
Maulen Aimanbetov instructed the General Contractor to adopt a daily work plan until the end of the year, carry out works on the first and second phases in parallel, and provide specialists for commissioning works and other critical areas.
The contractor undertook to ensure 100% mobilization of qualified personnel in accordance with the work schedule, as well as to provide a detailed day-by-day schedule for eliminating delays.
“If we do not clearly set priorities for July, August, and September now, we will not see the final result. This project is important for the people of Kazakhstan, therefore every participant must have a sense of responsibility and patriotism,” he said.
In conclusion, Maulen Aimanbetov placed particular emphasis on the need for strict compliance with industrial safety and occupational health requirements, taking into account the scale of the facility and the high intensity of work at the construction site.
Following the meeting, the construction participants were instructed to strengthen coordination, calculate risks, and ensure compliance with approved schedules. It should be noted that Turkistan CCGT LLP is under the trust management of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna Construction”.
