Module Installation for HRSG No. 3 Completed at Turkistan CCGT Plant

The inspection walkdown was also attended by Kuat Zhylkybayev, Director of the Construction Control Department, engineers of CCGT Turkistan, and representatives of contractor organizations - the consortium of Doosan Enerbility and Integra Construction KZ.

The installation of the modules continues the assembly of the plant’s main thermal and mechanical equipment. A heat recovery steam generator uses the heat of exhaust gases from the gas turbine to produce steam, which is then directed to the steam turbine. In total, the CCGT Turkistan project provides for four heat recovery steam generators - one for each gas turbine.

In the main building, the meeting participants inspected the process of connecting the gas turbines with the heat recovery steam generators, the installation of steel structures, and the preparation of technological areas.

Special attention was paid to Unit No. 1, where the installation of equipment for the PCC (Power Control Center) was inspected. Control cabinets based on Siemens Energy controllers, generator relay protection cabinets, and equipment required for the safe operation of electrical installations are currently being installed there. The delegation inspected all three levels of the electrical switchgear building of Unit No. 1, where floor pouring and preparation of rooms for the installation of sandwich panels and technological cabinets are ongoing.

At the operational control point, cable routes are being laid, and electrical panels and automation systems are being installed. In the future, the operational control point will become the plant’s “brain center” for monitoring equipment operation and managing technological processes.

In addition, the participants inspected the administrative and amenity building, where builders have already begun exterior finishing works.

Following the off-site meeting, protocol instructions were issued to contractors to promptly eliminate the identified comments, fulfill previously assigned tasks, and ensure the readiness of key areas for the next stages of construction.
