Preparations Begin for Installing Unit 1 HRSGs

Preparations have begun at the CCGT Turkistan project site for the installation of the heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) for Unit 1. The progress of works was inspected by Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, together with representatives of the general contractor consortium - Integra Construction KZ and Doosan Enerbility.

As part of the site meeting and walkthrough, key facilities under construction were reviewed, including the electrical switchgear building, the HRSG installation area, the air-cooled condenser (ACC) system, and the operational control point. In parallel, construction continues on the 220 kV and 500 kV switchyards, water treatment systems, gas receiving infrastructure, pumping stations, and fire protection systems.

The project’s integrated S-curve was also updated – a tool that records cumulative progress and supports schedule control for construction and installation works. With regard to grid connection and power export, coordination is underway with KEGOC to identify the optimal options for connecting the plant to the main transmission lines.
