Preparations for hydraulic testing underway at the gas preparation station of CCGT Turkistan

The participants inspected the gas preparation station, where piping tie-in works are in progress. This facility is responsible for preparing natural gas to meet the required parameters of the gas turbines: gas filtration, pressure regulation, heating, flow metering, parameter control, and safe gas supply to the CCGT equipment.

According to Abdushukur Abdirashitov, Lead Engineer for Construction and Installation Works at the Construction Control Department, preparations for hydraulic testing are currently underway at the gas preparation station. “Works at the gas preparation station are being carried out at a high pace. As of today, 85 percent of the total scope of works has been completed,” Abdushukur Abdirashitov noted.

The meeting participants then inspected two levels of the electrical switchgear building of Unit 1 and checked the implementation of instructions issued during previous production meetings. In the main building, installation of the air intake systems for gas turbines No. 1 and No. 2 continues. The air intake system supplies filtered atmospheric air to the gas turbine compressor, reduces noise, and protects the equipment from contamination, icing, and weather-related factors. At the heat recovery steam generator area of Unit 1, ring-by-ring assembly of the main stack continues. The connection of the gas turbines with the heat recovery steam generators is also in progress.
