The general contractor of the project "Construction of power plant on the basis of combined cycle gas turbine with capacity of 1000 MW in Turkestan region became a consortium of Doosan Enerbility Co. LTD and Bazis Construction LLP. South Korean company Doosan Enerbility Co. LTD has a solid experience in the construction of gas-fired power plants and has advanced technologies for the production of boilers, turbines and generators. 

March 20 2023, General Director of CCGT Turkestan LLP Askar Kusainov and Executive Vice President and Head of Plant EPC BG Hyunho Lee signed a Cooperation Agreement for the successful implementation of the project "Construction of 1000 MW CCGT based power plant in Turkestan region". In order to study the experience and technologies of the South Korean corporation, a delegation of employees of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC and CCGT Turkestan LLP visited the office and plants of Doosan Group, where they familiarized themselves with the company's activities.

It is expected that joint work with South Korean specialists will increase the competence of Kazakhstani engineers, designers, builders and power engineers. The planned period of the project realization is 2023-2025 and it will be a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's energy infrastructure.  The new power plant is included in the list of priority projects of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. By the decision of the Fund, the trust management of the construction of the power plant on the basis of CCGT is carried out by Samruk-Kazyna Construction.
