The fourth and final gas turbine with generators has been delivered to the Main Site of the project for the construction of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant with a capacity of up to 1000 MW in the Turkistan region.
The delivery of high-tech equipment was organized by sea transport from the Port of Hamburg (Germany) with transshipment through the Port of Tianjin (China). Further logistics of the gas turbine and its components were carried out by road transport to the Main Site located in the Sairam district.
The power plant will consist of two blocks. Each block includes two gas turbines, one steam turbine with generators, and two heat recovery steam generators.
This configuration allows efficient use of exhaust gas heat for additional electricity generation, providing high efficiency and a total capacity of up to 1000 MW. The combined cycle technology is more environmentally friendly and cost-effective compared to traditional thermal power plants.
Today, CCGT Turkistan is implementing one of the largest infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan aimed at ensuring energy security and reducing electricity shortages in the southern regions of the country.
