Ulan Burkitov Took Part in a Meeting Between the Head of Samruk-Kazyna and the Republic of Korea’s Trade Minister

Ulan Burkitov, Chairman of the Management Board of CCGT Turkistan LLP, took part as a member of the Samruk-Kazyna JSC delegation in a meeting between Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund, and Kim Jung-Kwan, Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources of the Republic of Korea.

The parties discussed the development of Kazakhstan-Korea cooperation and joint projects in the oil and gas, energy, and mining and metallurgical sectors. The meeting also covered the progress of construction at CCGT Turkistan and preparations for commissioning works. Ulan Burkitov reported that South Korea’s Doosan Enerbility, which leads the EPC consortium responsible for construction of the power plant, has completed delivery of the main process equipment.

The meeting took place during the state visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Korea, which is being held at the invitation of President Lee Jae Myung.

CCGT Turkistan LLP is implementing the project to construct a 1,000 MW combined-cycle power plant in the village of Karamurt, Sairam District, Turkistan Region. Engineering, equipment supply, and construction and installation works are being carried out by a consortium comprising Doosan Enerbility and Integra Construction KZ LLP.
